Line, Shape, & Color

Piet Mondrian Style |
This week in Young Picasso we explored line, shape, and color. We learned about the differences of primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. Primary colors are strong & stand alone (red, yellow, blue). Secondary colors are fun, and like to hang with other colors! By mixing primary colors on our pallets the kids created secondary, and tertiary colors (violet, orange, teal, maroon, green)!
Two excellent questions came up in class... Is black a color? Is white a color? Before I answer, what do you think? Get out your paintbrushes and explore.
