The Color Red
Color's effect on children is much different from its effect on adults. Common belief has it that shades of red are stimulating to everyone. This is not true. A restless child should be surrounded with rose-red walls, sheets, rugs, and curtains in his bedroom to aid in emotional self regulation. Parents can explore different shades of red (pink, tangerine, maroon, crimson, burgundy, magenta, persimmon, scarlet) to see which ones are more effective.
When a hyperactive child is surrounded by these colors he will soon seem more relaxed, cheerful, and happy.
