The Color Red

Color's effect on children is much different from its effect on adults.  Common belief has it that shades of red are stimulating to everyone.  This is not true. A restless child should be surrounded with rose-red walls, sheets, rugs, and curtains in his bedroom to aid in emotional self regulation.  Parents can explore different shades of red (pink, tangerine, maroon, crimson, burgundy, magenta, persimmon, scarlet) to see which ones are more effective.
When a hyperactive child is surrounded by these colors he will soon seem more relaxed, cheerful, and happy.

YOUNG PICASSO!

Bubble Paint

            Thursdays 4:00 - 5:15pm
                  Young Picasso Art Class
          Art Association of Jackson Hole

Today we used bubble paint, spray paint, and other unorthodox methods to explore water color.  Water colors are a fun way to explore paint in motion!  Artists presented great focus, hand eye coordination, and fine motor control.
